NetScout Systems nGenius Performance Manager 3.0
Promising more granular insight into network traffic performance, NetScout announced nGenius Performance Manager version 3.0, part of its High-Definition Performance Management Technology. 3.0 adds the ability to display granular historical application and network performance metrics " as fine as one minute with corresponding one-second peak values. All applications, all hosts and all conversations on the network can be seen by IT as well, including P2P applications that can use up resources such as Kazaa, Shareasa, and Morpheus.
Upgrades have been made to other nGenius System products. The Flow Recorder 3.0 forensics and audit trail solution for troubleshooting, failure analysis and compliance monitoring enahnced HTTP session reconstruction and replay as well as playback of VoIP calls, pattern matching and alarming, and direct connection to Ethernet segments have been added for forensics and troubleshooting use.
