SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- Opsware Inc. (NASDAQ:OPSW), the leading provider of Data Center Automation software, today announced it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire privately-held, Bellevue Washington-based iConclude Co., the technology leader in IT process automation software, in a cash and stock transaction. iConcludes software orchestrates the complex operational tasks necessary to run data centers. It has been adopted by leading companies such as ACS, Alaska Airlines, Glaxo Smith Kline, Halliburton, NYK Logistics, and Sharp Healthcare.

Because iConclude’s software readily adapts to customers’ existing processes and infrastructure, it greatly simplifies and accelerates the task of automating IT. The software is extremely flexible and tailors easily to customers’ existing procedures. It uses a visually intuitive “drag and drop” graphical user interface to build process maps that orchestrate the interaction between different tasks, different users, and different systems. Most of the complexity is hidden behind the scenes and taken care of by the software. In addition, the software provides the “glue” that binds ticketing, asset management, source control, monitoring, and the full range of operations software from heterogeneous vendors that IT departments use. The software ships with hundreds of different Accelerator Packs with standard process templates and includes integrations with a comprehensive range of IT systems, such as BMC Remedy, HP Openview, IBM Tivoli, and many more.
