NetApp's David Dale to deliver keynote at SNIA Canada Academy's 'Storing and Protecting Vital Business Data' event

SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- NetApp (NASDAQ:NTAP - News) Director of Industry Standards David Dale will deliver the keynote address at the SNIA Canada event Update on Data Management—Storing and Protecting Vital Business Data.” In his address, Dale, who is also the vice chair of the SNIA (Storage Networking Industry Association) board of directors, will discuss the state of the storage industry, the significance of the latest trends in data protection, and SNIA’s role in standards and IT education. The SNIA Canada Academy will be held on March 26, 2008, in Toronto, Canada, and on March 27, 2008, in Montreal, Canada.

SNIA Canada is a regional affiliate of the SNIA. This nonprofit association is comprised of storage networking vendors, resellers, and end users. The goal of SNIA Canada is to accelerate the adoption of storage networking technologies and to promote the SNIA within the Canadian marketplace by highlighting the standards-based interoperability of storage networking products and applications from an industry standpoint. SNIA is deeply involved in the development of standards and best practices to empower organizations in the management of information.

David Dale, with over 20 years of experience in the computer industry, drives marketing initiatives related to NetApp’s iSCSI and Fibre Channel SAN solutions. He also participates in the industry as chair of the SNIA IP Storage Forum, a regular contributor to industry journals, a frequent participant in IT seminars, and a frequent speaker and panelist at industry events around the globe.
