MPC Wins Gov't Deal

NAMPA, Idaho -- MPC Computers, a wholly-owned subsidiary of MPC Corporation (AMEX:MPZ), announced today that it has been awarded a prime contractor position on a new federal government-wide acquisition contract for the procurement of IT hardware and software.

The Solutions for Enterprise-wide Procurement contract (SEWP IV) is administered by NASA and is available for use by the entire U.S. federal government. SEWP-IV is an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract that is worth $5.6 billion over a seven-year period. Several large federal agencies, including the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, have signaled their intention to begin using SEWP IV immediately for the procurement of IT hardware and software.

MPC was awarded a prime contractor position as a small business manufacturer, which means that agencies can help meet their small-business procurement goals by purchasing from MPC.

"MPC is extremely pleased and honored to win a prime award on SEWP IV," said Bob Repp, MPC's Vice President of National Programs. "We look forward to serving our government customers with this new contract and helping them to achieve their missions."
