RENO, Nev. -- Mellanox Technologies, Ltd. (NASDAQ: MLNX; TASE: MLNX), a leading supplier of semiconductor-based, server and storage interconnect products, announced the availability of a dual-port, low-profile PCI Express adapter card supporting 10GigE connectivity to familiar and industry-standard Unshielded Twisted Pair (UTP) cabling supporting the 10GBase-T standard. Also available with PCI Express x8 Gen2 in addition to a single port version, these adapters integrate the ConnectX EN 10 Gigabit Ethernet adapter controller and the Ternaetics TeraPHY TN1010 transceiver supporting the IEEE 802.3an standard.

“Mellanox provides the complete family of 10 Gigabit Ethernet adapter cards that can connect to all cabling solutions available including the familiar copper UTP cable, CX4, as well as standard data center fiber technologies such as SR, LR and LRM,” said Eyal Waldman, president, chairman and CEO of Mellanox Technologies. “Our adapters provide data centers the flexibility to take advantage of ConnectX EN’s leading performance, virtualization offload capabilities, and emerging convergence technologies such as Fibre Channel-Over-Ethernet and Data Center Ethernet regardless of the preferred cabling solution.”

“We are pleased to work with Mellanox on the 10GBase-T adapters as Mellanox is proven to take high-performance interconnect technology to volume production and has a strong OEM presence,” said Matt Rhodes, CEO of Teranetics. “Their single-chip ConnectX controller coupled with our low power PHY enables a compelling dual-port 10 Gigabit Ethernet adapter solution for virtualization and I/O consolidation data center applications.”
