IE--You're Not Alone

Although a patch was quickly released to cover a vulnerability, has Mozilla lost the faith of some of its users?

The Mozilla project has issued a patch for the problem, and all browsers in the project should be patched. The good news is that Mozilla responded quickly, and the patch seems to work. The bad news is that Mozilla users who felt safe from the recent spate of attacks on Microsoft Internet Explorer can no longer feel so secure.

There are many good reasons to evaluate Mozilla as an alternative to IE, but remember, it's not impervious to attack. Vulnerabilities like this one, along with new cross-site scripting attacks that don't discriminate among browsers, prove that patch management and system updating are critical--no matter which browser you use.
