The scene: Storage Networking World, Orlando, Florida. Byte and Switch reporters gather 'round a table for a briefing with Brocade Communications Systems Inc. (Nasdaq: BRCD). Iced water and fruit candies are passed. The PowerPoint presentation is close at hand, just in case.
The conversation turns from Brocades friendship [sic] with Cisco to the announcement of its 2-Gbit/s Fibre Channel switch. We ask the Senior Company Officials present if they would like to submit this switch to the Byte and Switch 2-Gbit/s FC benchmark test, to be carried out by third-party testing company Network Test Inc.
