FRAMINGHAM, Mass. -- GlassHouse Technologies, a leading independent IT infrastructure consulting and services firm, today announced the release of Accelerate, a new and innovative four-phase methodology modeled to meet the challenges of todays IT departments. Accelerate saves time and money by increasing time-to-benefits through facilitated design and planning sessions focused on common infrastructure challenges such as: data center migrations, virtualization projects, disaster recovery and tape elimination.

GlassHouse consultants understand the internal challenges that can arise when working to implement crucial IT projects, and Accelerate addresses the roadblocks that often result in delayed or canceled initiatives. The four phases of Accelerate, consisting of design, planning, implementation and transition, allow organizations to take a united approach to advance projects critical to their IT infrastructures. Facilitated planning sessions dissolve obstacles, resulting in projects being completed in a shorter timeframe.

“The compelling ROI of data center consolidations and server virtualization projects can only be realized if IT organizations move quickly enough to take advantage of the promised savings. By pulling together all stakeholders who represent business and IT to drive consensus on what will be done and how it will be done, we create ownership and support to move towards the desired end result,” said Mitch Northcutt, GlassHouse’s vice president of services development. “Building consensus on a detailed plan and process with all stakeholders involved before undertaking an IT initiative is key. Accelerate is built around thoughtful planning that helps IT organizations drive through obstacles to ensure success.”
