Fujitsu Enables 10-G iSCSI

SUNNYVALE, Calif. and PARSIPPANY, N.J. -- Fujitsu, a leading provider of 10-Gigabit (Gb) Ethernet switches and innovative computer products, and RELDATA, a supplier of industry-leading consolidated and unified storage systems, today announced the interoperability of the Fujitsu XG 10 GbE family and RELDATA 10GbE 9240 Unified Storage Solution. This technology integration enables 10Gb iSCSI SAN connectivity, allowing storage customers to eliminate the challenges of rapid storage growth with modular scalability at a low total cost of ownership.

By implementing the Fujitsu XG family of Ethernet Switches with our 9240 Unified Storage System, customers can enjoy a higher performance storage solution that isn’t burdened by the high cost, complexity, scalability, and heavy licensing requirements of conventional Fibre Channel SAN implementations,” said David Hubbard, chief executive officer, RELDATA. “We’re allowing our customers to take full advantage of scaling IOPS performance and throughput without the typical forklift upgrade required by traditional storage vendors.”
