Clearwell, Quest Partner

SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Clearwell Systems, Inc., a pioneer in Intelligent E-Discovery, and Quest Software (Nasdaq: QSFT) today announced that they are teaming up to jointly market the value proposition of the two companies’ complementary products for electronic discovery. Together, the Clearwell Intelligence Platform® and Quest Archive Manager deliver significant cost savings by streamlining and automating the e-discovery process, from records management and data preservation through analysis, cull-down and review.

“Effective email management is essential for organizations in today's litigious environment, and companies need to begin addressing this now so the historical email is available for quick response to information requests,” said Carolyn DiCenzo, Research VP at Gartner, Inc. “Although many vendors can provide products with some level of compliance capture and archiving, the solution must ensure that all records are captured in the archive and analyzed, for legal discovery reasons or compliance requirements. Requirements continue to evolve, and the December 2006 changes to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure are motivating more companies to move more quickly from the evaluation stage to implementation mode.”

“For some customers archiving and e-discovery go hand-in-hand,” said Jim Emmons, director, Archiving Business Unit, at Quest Software. “We recognize the importance of providing those customers with the necessary products to effectively manage electronic evidence throughout the entire e-discovery process. Clearwell’s feature rich product and impressive market traction are a nice accompaniment to Quest’s product and marketing objectives.”
