Byte and Switch Turns a Corner

If Byte and Switch looks different to you, you're not imagining things. But the tweaks aren't just cosmetic: The site has been relaunched and now incorporates content from CMP's Storage Pipeline and Light Reading's Next-Generation Data Center Forum publications. We've also added an Editor in Chief, a Senior Editor, a leading industry columnist, and tens of thousands of new readers -- fellow storage aficionados.

Here's a rundown of what has and hasn't changed, and what's in it for you:

What hasn't changed. The newly refurbished Byte and Switch continues its editorial focus on enterprise storage networking for IT professionals. We continue to cover independent and original content and breaking news on a daily basis, along with case studies, interviews, polls, and directories. We will also continue our program of Webinars, as well as our paid subscription research service,

Byte and Switch Insider.

What has changed. The incorporation of Storage Pipeline and NDCF broadens our focus to include not just the comprehensive basics of storage networking, but information and analysis about how storage networks are evolving within the larger context of next-generation data centers.

What's in it for you. To this end, Byte and Switch will be adding more elements, including "How To" stories, reports on the technology and application of storage networking, and lab tests and product reviews from our colleagues over at CMP's Network Computing. We'll also feature regular commentary from columnist Jon William Toigo.
