Buffalo Boosts SOHO Storage

AUSTIN, Texas -- Buffalo Technology, a global leader in the design, development and manufacturing of wired and wireless networking, storage and memory solutions announced today the introduction of the LinkStation(tm) Quad, offering large, secure and remotely accessible storage for your home or SOHO network-- all with the peace of mind of RAID technology. In addition to its RAID drive reliability the LinkStation Quad is loaded with abundant multimedia and data management features. Allowing consumers to instantly store, access, back up and share multimedia files and other digital assets from any computer on their home network. With capacities up to 4 TB, a new, unique and compact industrial design, the LinkStation Quad addresses all the needs of today's power user.

The LinkStation Quad features a new BitTorrent client, enabling consumers to access and download multimedia files without the need of a PC running during the download and a built-in DLNA(tm) multimedia server, which can stream digital content directly to any DLNA player on your network. For easy upload of multimedia files, a DirectCopy feature enables the LinkStation Quad to automatically save multimedia files from any USB enabled camera, flash or storage device directly to its internal hard drives. Finally, with Buffalo's anytime, anywhere Web Access feature, now optimized for the iPhone, you will never be far from your music, videos or photos- best of all you can not only access files, but also upload files to your Quad at home.

"Managing and enjoying content in the digital home has become an ever increasing battle between balancing the finite resources of available hard drive space with the need to protect ever-increasing digital assets," said Ken Higgins, vice president of sales at Buffalo Technology. "With the new LinkStation Quad users now have the ability to easily centralize, backup and enjoy all of their multimedia no matter how large their digital portfolio expands."
