BMC Software names BladeLogic CEO Dev Ittycheria to senior strategy role

HOUSTON -- BMC Software (NYSE:BMC) today announced that Dev Ittycheria, president and chief executive officer of BladeLogic, has joined BMC Software as senior vice president for strategy and corporate development. BMC announced the completion of the BladeLogic acquisition on April 18, 2008.
As the chief executive of BladeLogic, Dev was the driving force behind the industry’s leading and fastest-growing data center automation company,” said Bob Beauchamp, BMC’s president and chief executive officer. “His track record demonstrates not only real business accomplishment but also a deep insight into the needs of customers and an understanding of what’s required to expand BMC’s leadership position well into the future. I’m exceptionally pleased to welcome him to the executive leadership team at BMC.”
