SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Attune Systems, Inc., a provider of enterprise-class file virtualization solutions, today announced aggregate findings of the Attune Symphony Service reports performed on mid-market end-user environments with predominantly Common Internet File System (CIFS)-based unstructured file data. This includes Attune customers in a wide range of vertical markets such as healthcare, social services, financial services, architectural design, and information technology. The current findings focus on mid-market customers and can be considered related to, but distinct from report findings for their large enterprise environments.

“We are pleased that our file virtualization solution not only provides immediate, positive impact for our clients when first deployed, but also continues to provide insight, savings, and optimization of their resources on an ongoing basis,” said Daniel Liddle, Attune’s vice president of marketing. “By non-disruptively deploying Attune’s Maestro File Manager™ in their environments, IT administrators can assess, monitor and automate the management of mission-critical information on existing storage resources. It is also interesting to note that the actual throughput and performance requirements we’re seeing tend to be significantly lower than expected for our larger enterprise customers as well.”

“Enterprise customers need to understand what is going on in their storage environments in order to properly manage those environments and make important purchase decisions,” says Brad O'Neill, senior analyst at The Taneja Group. "Attune’s solution provides an excellent way to capture this information and then take action to realize the benefits in a tangible fashion. The results they are seeing first-hand from their customers’ Symphony reports match the trends we are observing in our independent research.”
