ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- Alternative Technology, the leading specialty distributor of thin-client/server-based computing, edge infrastructure, virtualization, and government-approved security solutions, today announced the addition of DataCore Software, the leading provider of storage virtualization solutions, to its GSA schedule.
DataCore has positioned several key elements of its product line to be available for authorized VARs to sell to federal, state, and local government entities via Alternative Technologys Distribution GSA Schedule. These products include: DataCore's SANsymphony and SANmelody storage virtualization products and its newest CDP solution, Traveller CPR. Traveller CPR allows users to go back in time to restore systems and data to previous states.
Federal, state and local markets have critical needs in the area of storage virtualization. Being added to Alternative Technologys GSA schedule will allow us to better serve that marketplace, said Carlos M. Carreras, vice president of sales and business development, DataCore Software. As storage devices are increasingly deployed to support Homeland Security and other critical government applications, there is a much greater need to control storage infrastructures and costs. Alternative Technology has an excellent reputation in the VAR community, particularly for their strong security focus and their technical services and education programs, which enable VARs to more easily support federal, state and local markets with GSA approved products.
