ALPHARETTA, Ga. -- Cambia Security today announced that INGInvestment Management (ING IM), the U.S. investment arm of ING Group, has deployed its security policy enforcement software, Cambia CM, for use on thousands of network assets. Cambia CM enables ING IM to strengthen security operations by solving two primary issues: change validation and security policy compliance.

Using Cambia's agentless software, ING IM has significantly improved visibility into changes to critical network assets. Through integration with ING IM's change management software, Cambia CM correlates approved changes to changes actually made, providing proof of compliance with IT policies. By detecting unauthorized changes, the software also dramatically reduces the risk of sensitive information being compromised while providing information necessary to validate approved system configurations.

ING IM manages over $180 billion in assets, so it is important that its network be reliably secure at all times. The financial services company has been able to use Cambia CM to validate that system configurations are in compliance with security policy. The software provides a centralized view of the state of the assets on the ING IM network at any given time, allowing for quick and easy validation.

"It's hard to keep track of everything and know how assets really are configured in your environment at any given point in time, especially when you have thousands of network devices," said Charles Kim, information security officer and head of information risk management for ING Investment Management. "But with Cambia CM that has changed we can validate that the assertions we are making about asset configurations are correct all the time."
