Way back when people said the Mac UI was nice but where are the apps? Windows as clumsy as it was, ran a boatload more apps and it was one of the main reasons it dominated the desktop. Years later when microsoft came under attack from antitrust, web, java etc.... Balmer cried: "developers, developers, developers".

At these prices, I could virtualize my app servers for $995 on 24GB, or if I want to include the production database server (which we are doing now) it could run us $3500 for the 48GB. Maybe I will roll out more hardware and do each with 24GB to cost $2000?
