BRISTOL U.K. -- ClearSpeed Technology (LSE:CSD), the world leader in acceleration for high performance computing (HPC), and Sun Microsystems, a leading provider of innovative IT solutions, today announced that ClearSpeed's Advance accelerator boards have been added to Sun's price list. ClearSpeed's leading edge technology can now be offered to clients in Government and University Research Laboratories, Financial Services, and Life Sciences sectors who are seeking the highest performance and efficiency levels.

ClearSpeed accelerates the most compute-intensive applications commonly used in HPC. Its Advance Accelerator boards consume minimal power and can be deployed in servers, clusters and workstations to boost performance efficiently. Together, ClearSpeed and Sun have already propelled the Tokyo Institute of Technology in Japan to the number one supercomputing spot in Asia and number 14 in the world, with a combined performance of 48 TFLOPS.

"Our partnership with ClearSpeed means that we can offer even better and more efficient performance to our customers", Dr. Simon See, director of HPC Solutions - Systems Practice at Sun commented. "HPC is a major growth area and many of our clients will benefit from the addition of application acceleration technology to their data centers.
