F5 Networks' WANJet 500 WAN optimization solution available through EMC select program

SEATTLE -- F5 Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: FFIV), the global leader in Application Delivery Networking, today announced that the its WANJet 500 Wide Area Network (WAN) optimization appliance is now available through the EMC Select Program. As part of this program, EMC will resell F5's WANJet appliance through its worldwide sales force and network of Channel Partners, adding a solution that accelerates WAN traffic between data centers using EMC® SRDF® (Symmetrix Remote Data Facility) software.

Customers are increasingly dependent on the WAN to achieve their data replication performance and recovery objectives. The F5 WANJet 500 appliance provides a market-leading high performance WAN optimization and traffic shaping solution for EMC Symmetrix® networked storage system customers using EMC's leading SRDF remote replication software. The WANJet product is designed to significantly accelerate the throughput and performance of SRDF while at the same time significantly reducing bandwidth usage.
