Radvision introduced the latest version of its SIP service-creation development platform this week at the Spring 2007 VON conference. The update features a component-based framework the vendor says speeds the development of SIP-driven telephony services.

Radvision SIP Server Platform 3.0 gives developers a modular architecture from which they can tap service components to quickly construct computer telephony integration services, making use of devices including controllers, softswitches, proxy servers and IP PBXs.

Other new features include accounting and IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) functionality as well as new components developers can use in their products to increase the scalability, redundancy and security of telephony services.

Radvision's SIP Server platform is part of Radvision's IMS Express developer suite.
