Nortel Ethernet Switch Gains First Certification For IPv6
Nortel Networks Inc.'s Ethernet Routing Switch 8600 has passed the Phase II Internet Protocol Version 6 validation test at the University of New Hampshire's Interoperability Testing Lab.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Nortel Networks Inc. announced that its Ethernet Routing Switch 8600 has passed the Phase II Internet Protocol Version 6 validation test at the University of New Hampshire's Interoperability Testing Lab.
The switch is the first internetworking platform to complete the test regimen.
The Moonv6 future Intenet trials, conducted by the Defense Department's Joint Interoperability Test Command in conjunction with the university and the Internet2 Consortium, tests interoperability of IPv6 operations across multiple vendors' equipment.
The UNH tests included multivendor interoperability under Moonv6, as well as a suite of tests called the IPv6 Ready Phase II Logo Base Specification Test Suite.
