NetWorld+Interop Special Coverage: Internap Network Services Corp. Announces FCP 3.3

At the N+I show today, Internap Network Services Corp. launched a new version of its Flow Control Platform software that begins to solve that problem. FCP 3.3, which runs on Internap's route control boxes, enables users to prioritize traffic based on application or user group.

The availability of the Internap technology will make it easier for both enterprises and network service providers to create levels of service for specific groups of users. An enterprise, for example, could set the network to give priority to customer- or sales-related traffic over, say, human resources traffic. Similarly, network service providers could provide more reliable, better-performing services to customers who are willing to pay for it.
