Logitech has introduced its first Mac-tailored webcam that some say could pick up where Apple's discontinued external iSight camera left off.Logitech QuickCam Vision Pro, priced at $129.99 and expected to ship next month, works with iChat, Photo Booth, iMovie and Skype. Connecting via USB, it uses a proprietary technology, RightLight2, which automatically adjusts the webcam's settings when lighting is less than optimal, according to Logitech. The webcam also features Carl Zeiss optics, a 2-megapixel sensor and a built-in microphone.

In addition, Logitech QuickCam Vision Pro is compatible with all Intel Macs, and works with the Tiger and Leopard operating systems.

Apple stopped carrying its external iSight webcam in its stores in early 2007.Macworld
