Linksys will collaborate with Telabria to deliver VoIP services over a European WiMAX-class broadband network, the companies recently announced.

Telabria's Skylink service delivers symmetric broadband at speeds up to 10Mbps to customers in South East England, using a next-generation hybrid network of fiber and radio and completely bypassing the copper local loop. Linksys ATAs and VoIP handsets will be utilized to enable the voice services.

"Teaming with Telabria clearly demonstrates that Linksys products are the perfect fit in a carrier class communications network. We are delighted to join forces with one of the UK's leading regional network operators to further drive sales of Linksys VoIP offerings," Patrick Lelorieux of Linksys said in a statement.

The collaboration will allow for Telabria to offer competitive calling plans and rates over its IP network, as well as mobile numbers for customers on the go.
