Linksys added two switches to its arsenal of networking hardware for small businesses.
The Linksys SRW2016 and SRW2024 10/100/1000 Gigabit switches, unveiled Tuesday, come with 16 ports and 24 ports, respectively, and feature the vendor's WebView remote monitoring technology. WebView enables network administrators to configure the switches via a browser and to monitor the devices remotely.
Each switch also ships with dual Mini GBIC (Gigabit interface converter) fiber expansion ports, which allow the switches to attach to high-speed network pathways, such as Fibre Channel and Gigabit Ethernet, according to Linksys, Irvine, Calif. In addition, each switch includes 64 VLAN support, wireless 802.1x support, port mirroring and Telnet support.
The 16-port switch starts at $479.99, and the 24-port model starts $599.99, Linksys said.
