USA Video Technology is suing several large cable companies over video-on-demand.

The small company announced this week that it has filed a lawsuit against Time Warner, Cox Communications, Charter Communications and Comcast for alleged patent infringement.

USA Video Technology claims that its 1990 patent application, which the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office accepted two years later, covers stored-and-forward video.

The company stated in a news release that it is seeking compensation and an injunction.
