BridgeWave Introduces Strong Fixed Wireless Encryption

With its release Monday of advanced security capabilities, BridgeWave Communications became the first P2P (point-to-point) wireless vendor to support 256-AES encryption at gigabit speeds. Other P2P products, including legacy and new pre-WiMAX gear, support this level of encryption, but not at the high throughput rates offered by BridgeWave.

The narrow beam of its 60 and 80 GHz products also provide a level of physical security, making the company's offerings viable for organizations needing ultra-high-speed -- and ultra secure -- wireless bridging. See our analysis of fixed wireless and our review of P2P offerings from Alvarion, Motorola and Proxim.
