According to Belkin, after implementing the HP server for its main corporate data center, the company saw a performance increase by an average of 250 percent.
The server runs on the HP-UX 11i OS and runs a full suite of upgraded Oracle enterprise applications for supply chain planning, financials, manufacturing, purchasing, human resources and payroll. Data volume grew by 30 percent when Belkin upgraded the Oracle suite, according to the manufacturer. The company also noted that that the new system delivered, on average, a 225 to 275 percent performance increase over the Sun Solaris technology it replaced.
