Cisco networking products support two prominent security protocols that can be used to control access in networks: RADIUS and Cisco Terminal Access Controller Access-Control System Plus (TACACS+). While RADIUS uses UDP, TACACS+ uses TCP. In the five videos below, David Bombal uses Cisco Packet Tracer to configure authentication using both protocols. Authentication is one component of authentication, authorization and accounting (AAA).
