Alcatel has announced a on-demand hosted contact center solution that North American service providers can offer to enterprises and small and medium-sized businesses.

Service providers can sell the solution to businesses, and gain new revenue through toll-free services, hosting, broadband access and professional services. Businesses can use the solution to establish contact center capabilities without capital expense.

The Managed Services Solution for Contact Centers provides a contact center integrated platform as well as applications, both of which are designed to generate new revenues for service providers. The Alcatel solution also lets service providers expand their offerings by providing transition from TDM to IP, a set of value-added services, and support for distributed and multi-tenant infrastructures.

"Hosted contact center solutions are highly compelling to large enterprises and small and medium businesses," Brian Riggs, Principal Analyst at Current Analysis said in a statement. "With Alcatel's Managed Services Solution, service providers can obtain carrier-class network routing and IVR from a single, integrated supplier. It gives service providers the opportunity to grow their business by addressing significant market needs, and in the process pulling in significant voice transport and data revenue."
