WHO: Better Security For Your Extended Enterprise

The extended enterprise—today’s business network that connects an organization with its business units, mobile workers, customers, partners and suppliers, to name a few—is an integral part of doing business today. But it can present significant security risks to businesses. Tomorrow’s Webinar will address how inadequate security can lead to exploitable gaps in networks, jeopardize compliance with regulatory requirements and even cause a data breach.

Peter Tippett, vice president of research and intelligence for Verizon Business security solutions, will lead the Webinar, offering insight into how enterprises can better enhance the security of their extended enterprise. Key strategies include:

  • Prioritizing customer focus areas through quantitative risk analysis

  • Leveraging the most pertinent aspects of industry standards for analysis, based on the customer’s business and risk profile

  • Conducting an assessment of partner operations— including customers, vendors and auditors—through proprietary tools and professional services

  • Delivering customers a pragmatic approach for addressing findings while controlling costs

The Webinar will run for approximately 45 minutes, including an interactive question-and-answer session.

The Webinar will be the fifth in a series of presentations. The entire series can be viewed at http://www.verizonbusiness.com/us/about/events/webinar/security.
