Grisoft Appoints New CEO
Grisoft, developer of AVG Internet security software, today named J.R. Smith its Chief Executive Officer

MILLBURN, N.J. -- GRISOFT, developer of AVG Internet security software, today named J.R. Smith its Chief Executive Officer. J.R.joins GRISOFT as former co-founder and CEO of British virtual mobile operator Dot Mobile.
Karel Obluk, GRISOFT's CTO, who has been the acting CEO for the past year, will again focus on strategic and technical development in order to enhance and improve AVG antimalware software. "In the last few years AVG GRISOFT has developed from a primarily local purveyor of antivirus software to one of the leading International providers of comprehensive Internet security, protecting some 50 million computers worldwide. This appointment is one of our key steps aiming to strengthen the ranks of senior management with more International experience" said Gabriel Eichler, Chairman of GRISOFT.
