BELLEVUE, Wash. -- Essential Security Software™, Inc., a provider of outbound email and document security solutions, today announced support for Microsoft® Windows® Rights Management Services (RMS), and the extension of its capabilities beyond Active Directory requirements, allowing enterprise organizations to set and enforce document and e-mail usage policies for the secure exchange of e-mail and documents with small businesses.

“By extending RMS’ capabilities, Essential Security Software is providing a pathway for enterprises that rely on Active Directory to conduct secure business transactions with their small business customers and partners,” said Robert Weber at ManagingRights.com. “This effort will help ensure the same level of protection currently available within the enterprise’s corporate domain is applied to their communications with small businesses.”

“We are pleased to work with Essential Security Software to extend the capabilities of Rights Management Services to small businesses,” said Tejas Dixit, senior product manager – identity and access partners, Microsoft Corporation. “Interoperability will allow small businesses to create and share sensitive information with employees, partners and customers in ways that were once limited to larger enterprises.”
