SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Data Domain, Inc. today announced it filed a registration statement on Form S-1 with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on March 30, 2007, relating to the proposed initial public offering of its common stock. The shares of common stock to be sold in the offering are expected to be offered by Data Domain, Inc. and a selling stockholder.

Goldman, Sachs & Co. and Morgan Stanley will act as joint bookrunning managers and Thomas Weisel Partners LLC and Pacific Crest Securities will act as co-managers for the offering. The number of shares to be sold and the price range for the proposed offering have not yet been determined.

A registration statement relating to these securities has been filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission, but has not yet become effective.
