WESTFORD, Mass., Oct. 12. Sonus Networks, Inc., a market leader in next-generation IP-based network solutions, today announced the availability of its new Network Analytics Suite of performance management products. The Network Analytics Suite is made up of three products -- NetAssure, NetScore and NetEng -- that deliver advanced collection, monitoring, reporting and notification of performance metrics to help lower operational costs and maximize network performance.

The Network Analytics products are based on the deep experience of Sonus' Global Services group in managing and optimizing the world's largest VoIP networks.  The products are available as individually licensed software packages or bundled with a comprehensive SGS Professional Service offering.

"By expanding their commitment to operational support systems, Sonus has recognized the need to move beyond selling elements and is embracing a solutions approach to product delivery," said Elisabeth Rainge, program director, network software at IDC. "With the Network Analytics Suite, they are leveraging their rich global services expertise and bringing to market a more complete offering."

The three offerings that make up the Network Analytics Suite are:
NetScore: NetScore collects and analyzes Call Detail Records (CDRs) from Sonus network elements to provide a holistic, real-time view of Network Performance through visual reports and alerts on Key Performance Indicators (KPI). With NetScore, network operators can monitor and pinpoint problems via customizable thresholds and automatically detect potential performance issues.

NetAssure: Utilizing a combination of distributed agents and probes, NetAssure provides visibility into the network's Quality of Experience (QoE). With NetAssure, network operators can understand how well the network is delivering services and systematically isolate any quality degradations that may occur.NetEng: NetEng is a powerful yet easy-to-use tool for planning, trending and forecasting. NetEng collects vast amounts of usage and performance data and transforms it into visual reports that allow network analysts to quickly view element statistics at a glance. NetEng provides sophisticated visual analysis of historical performance data for up to thousands of Sonus network elements.

NetScore, the first product available in the Network Analytics Suite, is currently shipping release 2.1 and has already proven successful in the marketplace. First released in August of 2009, NetScore is deployed by multiple Sonus customers.

"NetScore's ability to analyze CDRs in real-time allows us to proactively optimize resources, driving maximum performance and efficiency from our Sonus network," commented Andrew Melton, vice president of network engineering at ANI Networks. "By deploying NetScore into our network, we gave our customers confidence that we can detect and respond to issues before they impair the quality of the service."

Visitors to Connexions 2010, Sonus' annual customer and partner conference being held this week at the Innisbrook Golf Resort in Palm Harbor, Florida will have the opportunity to see the Network Analytics Suite in action and view firsthand the benefits it can provide.

"With this release, Sonus is further illustrating our commitment to delivering the most robust, efficient IP networks in the market," said Wassim Matragi, vice president, network technologies at Sonus Networks. "With the Network Analytics Suite, our customers will have the information needed to understand how their network is really operating, minimize problems and take steps to prevent future obstacles."
