Imperva SecureSphere Database Security Gateway
Imperva has introduced its SecureSphere database Security Gateway, which promises to monitor and audit database usage in real time to prevent security breaches. SecureSphere automatically creates security policies by examining live database traffic and profiling legitimate activity. Role-based security policies are updated for both individual users and applications accessing the database. Both preconfigured and customized reporting are supported using a preinstalled version of Crystal Reports or any ODBC-compliant application. Audit records range from global trend analysis to individual user tracking. SecureSphere separates security processing from database activity, so it has no impact on database performance. Starts at $30,000. Imperva, (866) 926-4678, (650) 345-9000. www.imperva.com
