Avaya has unveiled new managed services solutions designed to enable its partners to offer Avaya managed services branded under their own name.

Announced Wednesday, realtime monitoring and management of communications and IT infrastructure are provided under the umbrella of Avaya's Managed Services. The partner-enabled Avaya Managed Services solutions operate with IT infrastructure Library (ITIL) standards.

"Avaya is accelerating its channel-centric approach with customer needs and partner goals in mind," said Ed Nalbandian, vice president of Avaya Operations Services, in a statement. "We are now moving to a partner-based model, supporting Avaya and non-Avaya technology, and opening up our tools and capabilities to enable partners to deliver managed services in the way that's most optimal for them."

The "private label" option for Avaya's customers enables them to pick and choose from many of Avaya's services, which range from network operations and maintenance centers to access to applications and equipment. Partners can brand offerings with their own name or co-brand with Avaya.

Noting that partner-enabled Managed Services offers its partners the capability to choose from a broad range of multi-vendor unified communications, Avaya said partners may choose from three kinds of service levels.

On the first level, called "monitor," service desks and some monitoring services are included. The second level, called "operate," includes the monitor services, technology configurations, incident and service management. In the third level, called "optimize," system administration, availability, capacity management services, and capacity management services are layered on top of the first two levels.
