DALLAS -- Tek-Tools Software, today announced that its Profiler Suite of backup and storage monitoring and reporting software has successfully completed interoperability testing with IBMs System Storage N Series products and has been confirmed as IBM System Storage Proven. The IBM System Storage Proven program builds on IBM’s already extensive interoperability efforts to develop and deliver products and solutions that work together with third party products.

With support for the IBM System Storage N Series, Tek-Tools adds to its already comprehensive list of storage and backup tools including modules for NetApp, HP, HDS, Symantec, EMC, and more. Tek-Tools StorageProfiler provides SRM capabilities encompassing IBM’s SAN, NAS, and data protection systems, helping to lower costs and alleviate the difficulty of integrated storage management across heterogeneous environments, while also accelerating problem diagnosis and resolution. From any supported Web browser, both operators and administrators can trend volumes and qtrees; view version, cluster, disk, and quota configuration; and monitor performance statistics. Other advanced features include change reporting, file analysis for CIFS or NFS enabled storage systems, and virtual storage systems, as well as policy-based file detection, movement, and deletion.

“IBM is on the forefront of data access and content delivery in large-scale enterprises. Management of complex data stores is more important today than ever. Tools such as Tek-Tools’ Profiler for IBM simplifies management of storage systems by providing customizable yet easy-to-use administration and forecasting tools that reduce costs and avoid unpleasant surprises,” said Ken Barth, president and CEO of Tek-Tools. “IBM and Tek-Tools share the same goal of looking for ways to reduce management complexity and lower TCO across heterogeneous environments.”

"IBM’s Storage Proven program helps enhance the value and credibility of Tek-Tools solutions to the end user customer," said Stephen Harding, Director of Marketing, Tek-Tools. “Our participation in the program demonstrates that Tek-Tools and IBM are each focused on customer satisfaction by promoting greater interoperability.”

The IBM System Storage Proven program supports the ability of independent hardware and software vendors to build high-quality solutions with the latest technology on leading storage platforms as well as reduce solution design time when multiple, tested building blocks have already been pre-tested.Tek-Tools Inc.
