DALLAS -- Tek-Tools Software, a leading provider of IT resource management software solutions, announced it is working with Sun Microsystems to promote and sell its Tek-Tools Profiler Suite of monitoring and reporting software.

The Sun(TM) Common Array Manager (CAM) combined with the Tek-Tools Profiler Suite provides extensibility to Sun customers for unified reporting, monitoring, forecasting, and notification across the entire physical or virtualized infrastructure. The Profiler Suite brings visibility to Suns storage arrays with performance and capacity management reporting and extends that visibility to include heterogeneous environments.

“Given the pressure to reduce IT spend and a strong emphasis on Green, it is important for customers to be able to optimize their existing IT infrastructure investments,” said Bob Laliberte, analyst, Enterprise Strategy Group. “In many cases this also leads to a heterogeneous mix of storage and server technologies, each with its own management software, creating a burden to manage so many individual interfaces. Tek-Tools offers a single management console for customers to manage these heterogeneous environments and has a strong track record of adding new technologies to support customers with a comprehensive solution to manage both physical and virtualized IT assets – from one place. This announcement supporting Sun’s CAM is another great example of Tek-Tools’ efforts to provide solutions for diverse customers’ environments.”
