Juniper Networks names Mark Bauhaus executive vice president and general manager of the service layer technology business group

SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- Juniper Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: JNPR), the leader in high-performance networking, today announced the appointment of Mark Bauhaus to the position of executive vice president and general manager, service layer technology. Most recently an executive-level technology consultant, Mr. Bauhaus joins Juniper Networks following 20 years at Sun Microsystems, Inc., where he served as senior vice president, service oriented architecture software.

'Mark's wealth of enterprise software experience combined with his proven track record of driving one of the fastest growing segments at Sun will enable us to aggressively deliver on our no-compromise approach to high-performance networking in the enterprise.'

Mr. Bauhaus will lead Juniper Networks' service layer technology business group, with responsibility for the company's security, application acceleration, unified access control and enterprise routing product lines.Mr. Bauhaus will report directly to Mr. Elop.
