Cybertrust Enhances SMP

HERNDON, Va. -- Cybertrust®, the global information security specialist, today announced the addition of the Cybertrust Intelligence Service to its Security Management Program (SMP). Enhanced security intelligence will provide Cybertrust SMP customers with greater insight into current and evolving risks, and enable them to more effectively secure their environments.

With the addition of the intelligence service, SMP customers will benefit from more comprehensive views into the broader security and threat landscape. Cybertrust Security Intelligence in SMP provides customers with access to risk analysis, early-warning intelligence and threat remediation as part of the standard program.

The Cybertrust Intelligence Service supports customers’ ongoing security programs, keeps them apprised of relevant security issues and provides regular interaction with Cybertrust’s industry-leading risk intelligence analysts. As part of this service, Cybertrust provides comprehensive, pragmatic analysis around newly emerging threats. When a threat is deemed to be one that could impact a customer’s business, a proactive alert is pushed out to the customer with recommendations on mitigation. Beyond the alert, the customer can find more information on the threat and mitigation recommendations in the SMP portal. The service also provides SMP customers with insight into the severity and urgency around applying Microsoft patches. The Cybertrust Intelligence Service provides similar insight and information to Cybertrust’s Managed Security Services (MSS) customers.

SMP is a robust, detailed and programmatic security and risk reduction program that addresses all aspects of proactive information security from network and system analysis to physical and policy inspection. The program helps organizations improve their overall security posture through the identification of critical assets; assessment and prioritization of threats; and mitigation of risks. The ongoing, systematic approach allows business to more easily facilitate regulatory compliance.
