Caringo Expands Executive Team

AUSTIN, Texas -- Caringo Inc., a leading provider of content storage software, today announced the hiring of three industry veterans with more than 50 years of combined experience to executive positions to help manage the companys rapid growth due to the success of its CAStor™ product. CAStor provides a massively scalable, single-tier architecture that enables active and archived content to coexist in a common storage environment running on commodity server hardware. It is the most cost-effective product of its kind that delivers the performance, flexibility and scalability with the integrity and simplicity organizations need.

Joining the company are Derek Gascon, Vice President of Marketing; Jennifer Devening, Vice President of Business Development; and Jos Keulers, Vice President of Business Development, EMEA. Keulers was first to join Caringo and is successfully driving new business in Europe.

Gascon is a 20-year veteran in the technology industry and has led market and product strategies for archiving and content management software and solutions for a decade. His background and experience encompasses business planning, strategy, software development, partner management and IT management. Gascon comes to Caringo from Hitachi Data Systems where he served as Senior Director, Global Product Marketing, responsible for developing the business and marketing plans, as well as all the launch activities, for the company’s archive solutions and products. Gascon had previously worked as VP of strategy and planning at Convera Corporation, a company providing video content management and index/search software. He also served in leadership positions at StorageTek in software engineering, and IT at Qwest Communications.

Devening brings nearly 20 years of marketing, sales and business development experience to Caringo. Most recently, she served as Vice President of Business Development and Sales for UnWired Buyer, a voice publishing platform for mobile phones. Before joining UnWired Buyer, Devening was Founder and President of iLINC Communications, a consulting firm focused on high-growth startup companies. She has also served in a variety of executive management positions for World Congress on Information Technology, Verge Software, Sprint, HP, EO Inc., GO Corporation and Oracle.

Jos Keulers brings to Caringo nearly two decades of business development and sales experience from the information technology and storage industry, mainly introducing new products and building markets. Prior to joining the company, Keulers brought Polyserve's Cluster File System technology to the Benelux Market. In 2000 he started Interwoven Benelux, a vendor of popular enterprise content management (ECM) software.
