BRACKNELL, U.K. -- 3PAR(R), the leading provider of Utility Storage, announced today that, following strong demand for its Utility Storage products across Europe, it has expanded its channel strategy with the appointment of John Silva to the position of European Partner Sales Manager and the completion of reseller agreements with Terasystem in Italy and Polcom Storage in Poland. The new position and partnerships will enable 3PAR to further grow its presence across the continent, adding to its established direct and indirect sales operations in the UK and Germany.

Krakow-based Polcom is a leading provider of enterprise business continuity solutions. To date, Polcom has already installed 3PAR Utility Storage at a major financial institution, two large service providers and NASK -- the Polish national registry of Internet names in the com.pl domain and also a leading data networks operator. 'Adding 3PAR to our portfolio has made a tremendous difference to our ability to reach out to growing organisations because the Utility approach, with its combination of flexibility, performance and low cost, is much more appealing to them than traditional array architectures. Great performance and ease of use of the 3PAR InServ are the key advantages reported by our enterprise customers such as PTC and Nordea Bank,' said Marcin Gwozdz, CEO at Polcom.

With five offices throughout Italy, Terasystem is the largest vendor-independent data storage services provider in the country, counting Fortune 2000 and government departments among its clients. 'The data storage market is one of the fastest-growing we have seen in Italy in recent years,'said Raffaele Persico, founder and CEO at Terasystem. '3PAR's products are an ideal addition to our range of offerings because their ROI, flexibility and use of Thin technologies make them extremely attractive to enterprises looking to meet future capacity demands without sustaining a large upfront outlay.'
