SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Yosemite Technologies, Inc., today announced a fresh, new approach to data protection pricing with their Unlimited Server Bundles for Yosemite Backup Standard 8.5. This straightforward licensing model offers small-to-medium businesses (SMBs) the ability to backup an unlimited number of servers within a backup domain for a single price. This allows organizations to expand as they add additional servers to their environment without the need to purchase additional server licenses. The company also releases Yosemite Backup 8.5 Service Pack 2, incorporating important new support and usability enhancements for the popular data protection software.

Existing Yosemite Technologies’ customers benefit from the release of Yosemite Backup™ 8.5 Service Pack 2 through expanded support and feature improvements. With a platform-agnostic approach to backup, Yosemite Backup provides native support for Windows, Netware and Linux. This free service pack incorporates additional Linux OS support to include Ubuntu along with the already supported Red Hat and SUSE platforms. Usability and performance enhancements are also included, improving job management, troubleshooting capabilities and bare metal disaster recovery operation.

Yosemite Backup 8.5 can also be purchased as a core-to-edge Total Data Protection Suite that includes Yosemite FileKeeper™. Using file level continuous data protection technology, Yosemite FileKeeper protects every document a user edits at the instant they save their documents to disk, regardless of where the documents are stored or whether the system is connected to or disconnected from the network. This Suite can be enhanced by adding Yosemite Backup Agents and Options according to the user’s needs.

“Service Pack 2 of Yosemite Backup 8.5 and the Unlimited Server Bundles demonstrate our commitment to provide increased value through improved usability while reducing licensing and pricing complexity in our data protection solutions,” said Patrick LaPorte, Director of Product Management, Yosemite Technologies. “Furthermore, in combination with FileKeeper for laptop and desktop PCs we are providing SMBs the convenience of one-stop-shopping for Total Data Protection.”
