FRANKFURT, Germany -- Yipes Enterprise Services, Inc., the leading global provider of managed Ethernet services, announced that it is expanding its network by adding a point of presence (POP) at IXEurope Plcs collocation facility in Frankfurt. IXEurope is one of Europe’s largest and fastest growing datacenter services companies, operating 14 mission-critical IXDatacentres™ in four countries.

Yipes customers will have access to the exchanges and trading platforms within the IXEurope datacenter via the IXEurope Financial Exchange (IXFX™), an interconnection and exchange platform within IXDatacentres. IXEurope customers will have direct access to the Yipes global Ethernet network and the Yipes FinancialConnect! platform, the first Ethernet-based financial Extranet for electronic trading. Yipes FinancialConnect!, backed by service level guarantees to support low-latency trading, links more than 350 exchanges, trading platforms, brokerages and traders.

Yipes’ full POP facility within the Frankfurt IXDatacentre enables IXFX customers to execute financial transactions with a minimum of latency, an optimum solution for firms looking to deliver “best execution” trading under the Europe-wide Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID) initiative and algorithmic trading. IXEurope also offers data center and business continuity services to other vertical markets, such as, legal, on-line gaming, hosting, and insurance.

“Yipes brings to the IXFX community in Frankfurt, including Deutsche Boerse Systems, the best connectivity to the U.S.,” said Guy Willner, chief executive officer at IXEurope. “Working with Yipes gives IXEurope leverage into financial markets in both the U.S. and Europe”.

“Our agreement with IXEurope furthers our global strategy to establish Yipes as an application service provider in Europe, particularly in the financial market,” said John Scanlon, chief executive officer at Yipes. “Frankfurt is at the crossroads of Europe, making it an excellent place to facilitate high-speed Ethernet communications throughout the region. And because our POP is a neutral facility with great diversity, we can offer communications services to any market.”Yipes Enterprise Services Inc.
