PALO ALTO, Calif. -- XenSource, Inc., the leader of the open source Xen virtualization project and a provider of enterprise virtualization solutions, today announced that they have signed over 500 commercial customers for XenEnterprise™ and XenServer™ -- doubling their customer base during the past quarter. New customers include AmerisourceBergen, Cimex Media UK, Harvard University, Intuit, Investcorp, KBC Clearing, Miami Herald, Moen, NASDAQ, Palm, Rollins, Inc., and Sankyo. Additionally, since introducing XenExpress™, their free product, at the end of 2006, they have experienced more than 100,000 downloads, illustrating the intense interest in new virtualization solutions.

“Enterprises are realizing that they have a choice in virtualization and XenSource offers great products that are easy to use, offer high performance for Windows and Linux and are very innovative and open,” said John Bara, VP of marketing for XenSource. “This realization has significantly grown our market share, helping us sign more than 500 customers since first introducing our products late last year. As we prepare for our next release, we’re seeing more and more customers migrate over from traditional players in virtualization and choose XenSource virtualization over our competitors.”

XenSource will introduce the newest release of its XenEnterprise product, version 4.0, in late August 2007.
