VMware Announces Over-Allotment

VMware announced that the underwriters of its IPO exercised their over-allotment option

PALO ALTO, Calif. -- VMware, Inc. (NYSE: VMW) today announced that the underwriters of its initial public offering exercised their over-allotment option to purchase an additional 4,950,000 shares of its Class A Common Stock at $29.00 per share. The option was granted in connection with the company's initial public offering of 33,000,000 shares of its Class A Common Stock, which priced on August 13, 2007.

Citi, JPMorgan and Lehman Brothers acted as the representatives of the underwriters and, together with Credit Suisse, Merrill Lynch & Co. and Deutsche Bank Securities, acted as the joint book-running managers of the offering.
