Server provisioning vendor Thor Technologies Monday shipped an enhanced edition of its flagship Xellerate enterprise provisioning system that includes new features such as multi-site support, system failover, and de-provisioning.

Xellerate 7.2 also includes an improved Reconciliation Engine to help companies comply with regulations such as Sarbanes-Oxley, Gramm-Leach-Bliley, and the HIPAA, said Thor.

The engine now automatically detects unauthorized user accounts on protected servers, and shuts them down when they're discovered, and can now synchronize with other LDAP directories and identity stores to eliminate the need to manually modify access directories.

Additionally, the new provisioning software now more tightly and smoothly integrates with other server management systems and applications, claimed Thor, making costly integration initiatives unnecessary for their server farms.
