Tek-Tools Appoints New COO

Tek-Tools Software announced the promotion of Cindy Whitley to chief operating officer

DALLAS -- Tek-Tools Software, a leading provider of resource management software solutions, today announced the promotion of Cindy Whitley to chief operating officer. In this role, Whitley is responsible for managing the companys day-to-day operations from international sales and marketing to customer support with a focus on strategic growth.

Whitley has been with Tek-Tools since it was founded in 1996. In the late 1990’s, serving as the company’s vice president of sales, she developed its customer base – some 50,000 users strong at that time – for Kawa, its Java-based integrated development environment. Subsequently, Whitley played a key role in negotiating Allaire Corporation’s acquisition of Kawa in 2000 while simultaneously driving development of the company’s IT infrastructure reporting tools, The Profiler Suite .

With Whitley driving sales, marketing and business development, Tek-Tools launched the Profiler Suite in 2001 and today has more than 800 customers worldwide and several strategic partners, including, Bell Microproducts, Dell, Glasshouse, LSI Logic, Quantum, Sun Microsystems, Syncsort, and Xiotech.
