AUSTIN, Texas -- StoredIQ, Inc., a leading provider of enterprise-class intelligent information management technology, today announced enhanced support for the EMC Documentum platform as a recognized repository for document management. StoredIQ’s appliance now offers the ability to locate and insert unstructured information as records into the most current version of EMC Documentum and place those records under litigation hold leveraging Documentum’s Retention Policy Services. With this enhancement, StoredIQ provides the industry's most comprehensive solution for eDiscovery, information governance and risk management across the broadest set of disparate systems.

The StoredIQ Intelligent Information Management appliance is uniquely designed to manage the functional intersection of records management, eDiscovery and storage management. As part of an overall information lifecycle management strategy, StoredIQ provides a holistic classification, business policy and action framework to execute litigation hold, storage optimization and document retention and destruction policies. StoredIQ, an EMC Select partner, provides support for EMC’s Centera and Celerra storage platforms in addition to Documentum.

“Information is a vital corporate asset, but when mismanaged, it can quickly become a liability and create risk,” said Brian Babineau, Senior Analyst, Enterprise Strategy Group. “This can happen because organizations must deal with the exponential growth of email and user files, while at the same time adhering to records retention regulations and the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure – which stipulate mandates for handling electronically stored information in the legal discovery process. StoredIQ’s intelligent information management technology provides valuable automation for organizations to manage email and user files based upon content and business context.”
